Chris Murray - Operations Manager,
Chris is a NACE, ACA Certified Coatings Inspector and has extensive knowledge of coating systems for all applications within the Marine, Oil and Gas Industries. Chris possesses Qualifications in Project Management (Dip), Level 3 Commercial Diving, Both Abrasive and Ultra High Water Blasting, Spray Painting application.
His knowledge is extensive in the following Industries:
- Marine Commercial Coatings,
- Industrial coatings,
- Oil and Gas,
- Defence Ships and Submarines.
- Commercial Diving.
Barry Punter - Marine Services Manager,
Barry has over 20 Years experience in the Protective Coatings Industry. Barry is a NACE, ACA Certified Coatings Inspector and has Qualifications in Project management, Both Abrasive and Ultra High Water Blasting, Spray Painting application.
His knowledge is extensive in the following Industries:
- Marine Commercial Coatings,
- Industrial coatings,
- Oil and Gas,
- Defence Ships and Submarines.
Jimmy Phillips - NSW Manager
Jim has over 30 years experience in the application of Industrial Paint Coatings and shipyard /shipboard preservation in ship repair. Jim is a NACE 1 Inspector, ID # and Dock Master, and is responsible for all aspects of overseeing the management of personnel, equipment and scheduling of work for the NSW operations.
John Akers – WA Manager
John has been a part of the Industrial Coatings Industry through out Australia for the past 26 years and during that time been involved in a wide variety of projects including Fractionation 1 & 2, Dom Gas and Gas Trains 1, 2, 3 & 4 on the Burrup Peninsula, Construction of the Cossack Pioneer, the HBI for BHP, Offshore Platform Maintenance, the Worsley Expansion, the Tasmanian Wind Tower Project, the Burrup Fertilizer, the Bluewaters Power Station Project, the Pluto Project as well as previous contracts on both the surface and submarine fleets. John is a NACE 1 inspector and an integral part of the day to day running of the company’s West Australian operations.

Garry Lockett - Submarine Coordinator
Garry has over fifteen years experience in the performance of Industrial Paint Coatings and shipboard preservation in ship repair. As a Qualified Automotive Spray painter (UK), Garry is also a NACE 2 Inspector, and is responsible for all aspects of overseeing assignment of personnel, equipment and scheduling of work. Garry has been a member of the Shoreguard team since its formation in 2008.
Rodney Revell - Safety Coordinator
Rod completed a 10 years in the Army and 7 in the Police Force, attaining valuable leadership skills and qualifications in Safety and Man Management. Rod has also worked in the Mining sector as a Safety Coordinator and more recently within the Marine Defence Industry; Rod is ICAM accident and investigation qualified.
